Purpose: Pain relief, relaxation, anxiety reduction, daily wellness

Step-by-Step: Making Oral Cannabis Capsules

1. Choose the Strain(s)

Select CBD-dominant and THC-dominant strains that complement each other.

For “Young and Beautiful,” we suggest a Prince-worthy pairing:

CBD strain: Something soothing and floral

THC strain: Something euphoric but clear-headed

2. Decarboxylation

This activates the cannabinoids so they’re bioavailable when taken orally.

Grind your cannabis flower finely.

Oven Bake at 240°F (115°C) for:

30–40 minutes (THC)

Let it cool completely.

3. Infuse the Oil

Use MCT oil, olive oil, or grapeseed oil. MCT is preferred for easy digestion and absorption.

Combine equal weights of decarbed CBD and THC flower with oil.

Use a MagicalButter Machine, Nova FX, or slow cooker:

Temperature: 160°F–180°F

Time: 2–4 hours (stir occasionally if doing manually)

4. Strain and Cool

Use cheesecloth or a fine metal strainer to remove plant material.

Let oil cool to room temp.

5. Fill the Capsules

Use size 0 or 00 gelatin or vegan capsules.

Fill each capsule with 0.5 ml – 1 ml of infused oil using a dropper or capsule-filler tray.

Store in a cool, dark place or refrigerator.

1. STOVE OR ELECTRIC COOKTOP

2. DOUBLE BOILER

7. 5 ML SYRINGES OR WILTONS FUNNEL

STEPS:

1. DECARB THE CONCENTRATE IN THE OVEN AT 240 F FOR ABOUT 40 MINUTES

2. ADD WATER TO THE DOUBLE BOILER UNTIL BOILING

3. ADD 30 ML OF HEMP SEED OIL TO THE DOUBLE BOILER AND HEAT FOR 15 MINUTES

4. INFUSE THE OIL WITH DECARBED CONCENTRATE AND LET SIMMER ON LOW HEAT FOR ANOTHER 15 MINUTES.

5. ADD CHOCOLATE TO DOUBLE BOILER AND COOL FOR 15 MINUTES STIRRING FREQUENTLY WITH RUBBER SPATULA

6. SPRAY MOLDS WITH AIR FRYER SPRAY

7. PUT MOLDS ON CUTTING BOARDS

8. USE SYRINGES OR WILSON’S FUNNEL TO THE MOLDS

9. CALCULATE THE MILLIGRAMS IN EACH INDIVIDUAL MOLD PIECE

10. ONCE THE CREATION IS PUT INTO THE MOLDS, LEAVE AT ROOM TEMPERATURE FOR 30 MINUTES

11. PUT CREATION ON CUTTING BOARDS INTO THE REFRIGERATOR FOR ABOUT 2 HOURS

12. PUT DOWN PARCHMENT PAPER AND POP CHOCOLATES OUT OF THE MOLD AND PUT ONTO PARCHMENT PAPER.

13. PUT CREATION INTO 3 COMPARTMENT CONTAINERS

14. PUT THE CONTAINERS IN THE REFRIGERATOR OR FREEZER

15. LABEL CONTAINERS WITH:

a. DATE

b. TYPE OF INFUSION

c. MG/PIECE

d. CREATION NAME

16. PUT SCOTCH TAPE OVER LABELS

17. ENJOY!

NOTES:

This was a nice creation with 2 types of chocolates infused with a Sativa chocolate from Rise dispensary. BELOW IS THE CHART FOR EACH PIECE

The concentrate was 850 mg x .9 for spillage so the total milligrams was 765 mg.

Small rectangles 1.5 ml per piece/#48 =72 ml so 6 mg per piece

Large rectangles 3 ml per piece/#24=72 ml so 12 mg per piece

Ovals 6 ml per piece/#7=35 ml so 20 mg per piece

Infused Tincture Recipe 1:1 CBD:THC (1000 light years)

This is a very medicinal ratio product that combine hemp based RSO with Cannabis RSO in a 1:1 ratio. It is called 1000 light years away by Prince from the 2010 album Welcome 2 America.

The recipe is below

RSO infused mct tincture
“A thousand light years”
1:1 CBD:THC Tincture

Ingredients:

1. 850 mg of hemp derived cbd RSO
2. 850 mg of thc RSO(hybrid Surterra)
3. 120 milliliters of MCT or other oil
4. Flavoring(optional)

Items needed:
1. Crockpot
2. Mason jar
3. Measuring cup/glass beaker
4. 4-30 milliliter bottles
5 Small metal or plastic funnel 7. 6. Labels
7. Scotch tape

Steps:
1. Put 120 milliliters of mct into a small mason jar.
2. It is recommended that the rso syringe be warmed by running hot water over the syringe or putting the syringe into a container of hot water. Additionally, you can rub the rso syringe between your hands or use a blow dryer.
3. Once warmed, squirt the rso into the mason jar
4. Use back pressure with the rso syringe to get any residual rso material from the syringe into the oil
5. Shake the jar for about 5 minutes as the rso will sink to the bottom of the jar.
6. Place the mason jar into the crockpot on low to medium setting for about 5-6 hours.
7. Shake and burp the jar about every hour. Be careful as the mason jar will be hot. Use a potholder or dish towel.
8. Remove the mason jar from the crockpot and cool at room temperature.
9. Transfer the tincture into a small measuring cup that will make it easier to transfer into the tincture bottle
10. Use the metal or plastic funnel to pour the tincture into the tincture bottle.
11. Label the bottles with:
a. Strain type
b. Strain name
c. % THC
d. #milligrams/milliliter
e. Date
f. Batch name

Notes
-This recipe can be repeated with:
Flower, distillate or concentrate.
– Using flower is more complicated than RSO, distillates, or concentrates
– Remember that concentrates such as Kief, Live Rosin, live resin or other forms need to be decarboxylated in a similar manner that flower does. Heat in oven at about 240 F temperature for around 40-50 minutes.
– Calculate the amount of milligrams per milliliter. For batches like this the calculation is very simple. There were 850 milligrams of both CBD and THC. So divide 850 mg into120 milliliters and the calculation is around 7 milligrams of both THC and CBD so this batch is a 1:1 ratio tincture.
